In “What's Wrong with Gay Marriage,” Pollitt explains that there is nothing wrong with gay marriage. In the essay, Pollitt gives three reasons why there is nothing wrong with same-sex marriage. He stated that: “It's not about having children, it's not about civilizing men, and it's not about evolving marriage” (530). In my opinion Pollitt is right. There is nothing wrong with gay marriage because of equal rights, increased adoption rates, and decreased youth suicide.
