British Airways is the official airline of the Wimbledon Championship tennis tournament and was the "official airline and tier one partner of the Olympics and Summer Paralympics 2012". British Airways was also the "official airline of England's bid to host the 2018 Football World Cup". Since inception in 1974, BA aircraft have had a Union Jack pattern painted on their tail fins.
