I personally struggle with writing academic essays. Therefore, just looking at the three essays I wrote for this course this semester is an accomplishment. I am not satisfied with the level of difficulty at which my articles are written, because I feel that I could have written much higher quality articles, if only I had given myself more time to write them. After this semester, I feel like I have grown in my ability to provide concrete evidence from text. My weakness as a writer is the fact that when I write an academic essay I write it in a fixed format. In the long run this makes reading my articles more boring, more predictable. Which I plan to try to resolve as I write future essays. My colleagues were very helpful in the process of reviewing my articles. When we did peer reviews, they often pointed out areas of my articles where I could provide more textual evidence. This helped because I had a fresh pair of eyes looking at the paper and the topic, and they were able to point out things that I wasn't able to see because I had been looking at the topic for so long. Therefore, I was able to make my articles more informative and entertaining
