It is in the nature of parents to want the best for their children. They want to give the best clothes, the most nutritious food and the most important thing is the best education for their children. However, it's a little more complicated when it comes to deciding what's best for your children's education. It is very difficult to decide the educational path of children especially when they enter college or university, because at this age most children have not yet discovered their true identity and interests. Many students nowadays do not have a satisfactory answer when asked why they chose a particular course or subject at university. Most of them will probably answer because that's what their parents tell them to learn and this situation is really a concern that people need to think about. College students should know why they want to take a particular course so they have a clear life goal and the drive to achieve it. They shouldn't hide behind their parents' shadow and blindly follow what their parents think they should do. It is crucial that parents do not make the final decision regarding their child's field of study due to the generation gap, differing passions, and also the increased likelihood of inaccurate judgments. First of all, parents cannot make a decision for their children's major in college due to the generation gap between them. In our modern era, it can easily be observed that our younger generation is more advanced in terms of science and technology than the previous generation. Due to these new scientific and technological discoveries, many new specializations have been added in higher education institutions, which also corresponds to the number of new job opportunities...... middle of paper... imprecise judgment.Works Cited Alhanati, J (2012, 7 20).
