The first time I saw this movie was when I was 10 years old and I didn't think or observe anything about psychology until today when I saw this movie for about the hundredth time time, it was the first time I saw this film in which I identified some psychology topics. I was surprised by how much psychology was involved in this film, for example coping, where Lucy's family was doing everything they could to reduce Lucy's stress by reliving October 13th to prevent her from reliving her accident, addiction, as Doug was using steroids due to the need to appear fit and strong, the hippocampus because it is an important part of the brain where it stores memory and damage to it can have negative outcomes, and in particular retrograde and anterograde amnesia. Despite the mediocre acting from the cast and the mistakes made about psychology in this movie, the movie was pretty good and as many topics about psychology showed. I would recommend anyone who has studied psychology to watch 50 First Dates as it offers a lot of topics
