The media is a growing and manipulative industry that preys on people. It is important to note that media works everywhere. Media exists on TV, in magazines, on billboards, in the displays of models and celebrities, and even in the music we listen to. Women are prone to this idea that they have to be thin and unrealistically beautiful. Women around the world, including teenage girls, have been dieting excessively and have even developed eating disorders. In some cases, deaths due to eating disorders have also occurred. The media literally “kills”!! Additionally, women are facing a competitor who has dominated their appearance for decades. The media has encouraged women to try to look like the models they advertise, which in reality is impossible. Media exploitation of children should be of concern to parents. The younger generation of women may be a repeat of the current generation of adult women. If this process continues, the media will benefit over the general public. Women can fight against media crimes and create their own unique image. The media has damaged women's lives; women should want to fight back. The day women gain their true identity, history will be made. Some critics may argue that change will never happen and believe that the media will reign for a long time. However, even with this argument, women should still ask themselves whether or not their mirror is
