A teacher understands what is expected of him within the classroom and in society (2.4). Expectations and demands are high for a teacher, but approach those expectations with respect and responsibility in order to raise a successful generation of students. Teachers also have to sacrifice their free time to fulfill the duties of their profession to ensure that assignments are graded and grade books are kept up to date. To be a good servant, teachers should demonstrate personal discipline (2.5). A teacher's personal discipline can be identified through classroom layout, personal appearance and disposition. An orderly classroom will demonstrate that a teacher cares about their students and is responsible for maintaining a safe and stable environment for their students. Personal discipline can also be manifested through a teacher's spiritual life. It takes time and effort to be in communication with a personal Savior, and when teachers turn to their spiritual lives they can find peace and comfort. Staying connected to your walk with the Lord is an important part of being a successful teacher (2.f). This relationship with their personal Savior can give them strength on difficult days and the patience to navigate challenging situations with students in the classroom, as well as experiences outside of the classroom setting..
