Total Quality Management (TQM) was founded by Dr. W. Edwards Deming, Dr. Joseph M Juren, and Philip Crosby. A simple definition of TQM is a method of management approach for continuous success through customer satisfaction. A breakdown of TQM consists of; all members of an organization contribute to the improvement of processes, products, services and the way they interact. When deciding to integrate total quality management, managers must understand that the TQM method must be continuously monitored. Once the plan has been developed a course of action must be taken. To achieve optimal success, you need to organize and prioritize your total quality management system. The goal of total quality management is internal and external satisfaction.
