It is religion that provides us with moral and ethical senses. Once again we must seek their guidance. The Roman Catholic Church supports their religious and ethical views. Their views are based largely on the interpretation of the creation story. The dignity given to us by God and cloning will violate our dignity as godchildren. We are solely responsible for maintaining and preserving what God created. “Cloned humans are manufactured in the image of existing people instead of being created by a 'single creator God'” (Emig, Lau, and Stone). Roman Catholics are strongly opposed to any production of research into human cloning and believe that an absolute ban is necessary. Jews, on the other hand, are in favor of human cloning, with justifiable explanations. Their view of human cloning is based on historical and sacred writings focused on human destiny. “Jewish scholars do not believe that potential violations of human dignity are a sufficient reason to ban human cloning” (Emig, Lau, and Stone). Coming with supervision and some restrictions, cloning is considered a boon to help us find cures for a variety of diseases. Many concerns concern the harmful changes it could have towards family relationships and intermediate roles
