This was the illustration of this whole story. The story features a lot of perspectives and thoughts from the mother and very little from the girl. More importantly, the story shows that the mother doesn't really care what the girl thinks of her advice; it wasn't a choice: either she followed his advice and would become a good daughter and wife in the future, or she would become known as a "slut" who doesn't follow her tradition. This story will make you wonder if the girl will ever become the perfect girl her mother wants her to be or if she will get used to American tradition and no longer be the perfect girl her mother should.
