The Good, the Bad and the Teachers“Every child starts out as a born scientist, and then we defeat him. Some pass through the system with their amazement and enthusiasm for science intact.” —Carl SaganDid you know? America produced a 5 cent bill... A hummingbird weighs less than a penny... A jellyfish is 95% water... Giraffes have no vocal cords... The penguin is the only one bird that can swim, but not fly... There are 293 ways to give change to a dollar... You are born with 300 bones, but when you become an adult you only have 206... Apple seeds contain cyanide and you only need more 1 cup of seeds to kill an adult... You are more likely to get stung by a bee on a windy day than in any other weather... And ellipses are the most overused punctuation mark in English.. .If present If you have aroused even a minimum of interest for just a moment (a moment is the time it takes for light to travel one centimeter in a vacuum, about 33.35 picoseconds), your internal desire to learn has not been completely quenched. This means that you have made it through the rigors of public, or private, education mostly intact; however, many unfortunately do not. Quench our burning desire, as a human being, to gain knowledge. The experience of a bad teacher is all it takes to stop something that might have interested us, like creative writing, history, or math, and we would never give those subjects a second chance, closing a door on our lives that would otherwise it would have been open. further. To begin with, what is a teacher? Well, a teacher is one of the most important people… in the center of the card… here are the questions now. Maybe then, someday far in the future, gradually, without even realizing it, you will live up to the answer" (Rilke p. 34-35) A teacher can make or break a student, and as a teacher, you will have a very impact on life of someone for better or for worse. So teach with all your might. Teach with the same patience, respect and enthusiasm that you would wish for your old self, you don't understand it either. - Albert Einstein Works quoted Palmer, Parker (1999).
