The Beatles are unmistakably the best-known band in the world. The Beatles craze, which began in Liverpool and spread across the world, changed the world of music forever. The Beatles' astonishing careers influenced the music and culture of their era and continue to influence us today. John Lennon, a boy from Liverpool, England, was the leader of a small band called the Quarry Men. John knew he wanted to do great things in music and wanted to go much further than where he was at the time. He began looking for new members who would give his band the edge it needed for success. He was introduced to Paul McCartney through a mutual friend. John was quite impressed with Paul's ability to play and tune a guitar, so he asked him to join the Quarry Men. Paul graciously accepted the offer. After McCartney joined the band, he recommended his old friend George Harrison. John was not interested in letting Harrison join due to his young age, but not long after turning fifteen Harrison became the band's newest member. The Quarry Men thought they finally had the winning lineup of members to have a successful band, but their current drummer, Pete, wasn't performing up to par. Brian, their manager, decided he wasn't right for the band and fired him. The Quarry Men asked Ringo Starr to join their group. With Ringo at their side they planned to conquer all of Britain (Lazaresai). The band had managed to find the members they needed, but they felt that since they had changed the band so much, they should also change the name of the group. They tried to adopt different names such as Johnny and The Moon Dogs, The Silver Beetles, The Beatals and The Silver Beatles. None of these names sounded right to them, and they simply... middle of paper... left a lasting impact on everyone who was touched by their music. Their works and careers provided an expressive outlet for the Beatles and their listeners. Even after their death their music will continue to be listened to and they will never be forgotten.
