Topic > Mission Statement as a Computer Engineer - 1055

“It's the chance to realize a dream that makes life interesting” - Paulo Coelho This is perfectly true for me in the world of computer engineering, where new ideas are not a novelty. It is this newness that draws me to this field and gives me a deep sense of professional pride. In this context, I would like to pursue my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, which not only complements the knowledge I possess but also provides a solid platform for my future career goals. After a one-year work experience as a Network Engineer at It's Not Yellow, a US-based online news portal, I want to return to academic studies and undertake postgraduate studies in Computer and Information Science at Temple University . After completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Nagpur University, I realize that I needed to gain practical work experience as a network engineer to gain first-hand knowledge of what the life of a network/systems engineer entails. In my work I especially had the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge projects and discuss ideas with senior engineers and the company founder. I soon realized that although I enjoy managing complex situations and their imminent outcomes, I was not satisfied with only performing routine procedures under the direction of others. I wanted to be part of a team that directs the course of the project. My senior colleagues have encouraged my ambition and I feel that this is the right time to pursue my higher studies. My passion for computers began in high school, when my father bought a home PC. Then I had the opportunity to explore my practical knowledge with a young and enthusiastic teacher. Early on I started learning about the hardware... middle of the paper... the enterprise environment. My interest in topics closely related to system and security often serves as a backdrop for the growth of my interests in cluster computing and cloud computing which nowadays are widely used in system and network reliability, areas that interest me greatly. Furthermore, my work on network performance in Its Not Yellow fits into this framework. Experience in these fields, administration and systems engineering is widespread in the department and makes admission to your University more desirable. I have the strongest incentive to advance as far as possible and discover something that has never been known before. I am sure that applying to Temple University is the best possible step to make it happen and I would consider my admission not only as a great honor but also as a great responsibility and an obligation to work hard.
