Topic > Biography: Lars Von Trier - 1030

In this essay I will focus on the background and biography of Lars Von Trier. I will then list some of his major contributions to artwork and his most famous works of art. I will include some interesting facts that influenced him throughout his life and that I felt were important to his development as a filmmaker. Finally, I will conclude the essay with my personal opinion on his character and his artwork in general. Von Trier was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in April 1956. He graduated from the Danish Film School in 1956, where he received his first “Best Film” award for his short film “Images of a relief". After graduation he also worked collaboratively with several other directors, one of them known as Dogma 95, where he and the crew agreed to follow crazy rules, such as only using handheld cameras. He is also known as a revolutionary and outside the box. a normal guy. For this reason he was declared "persona non grata" at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival after claiming to understand Hitler and joking about being a Nazi. After doing some research, I found out that this might be because he has been through a lot in the past. His mother, for example, confessed before her death that her father was not Mr. Trier but her employer. His excuse was simply because he wanted to have a child with creative genes. Another out of the ordinary job that he did, and which at the same time managed to be very successful, was the creation of the first mainstream studio in the world that produced pornography for women. According to an article on Dazeddiital.com, Larz was raised a nudist and we would spend many childhood summers at nudist camps which I thought was where he drew inspiration from. In the studio he... middle of paper... media work has influenced many other artists around the world, not only because his work is highly recognized among others, but because his ability to work against many other odds and still be one of the best directors in the world.
