Growing up I considered myself one of the lucky few in the world where the act of reading and writing was not only encouraged but was a passion of many historical figures such as Martin Luther King Jr ., Fredrick Douglas Langston Hughes and Emily Dickenson and many other pioneers and patriots in history who became great minds not only by accepting their circumstances but by doing something to make life better not only for themselves but for the people around them. I've always had this desire to one day meet at least some of these historical figures that I've always wanted to emulate and maybe ask them about their experiences and how they survived in a world as harsh and unforgiving as ours. . A date is a meeting with someone that is arranged for a particular time and place and is often secret. I truly believe that reading and writing not only paved the way for these abolitionists, poets, ministers, civil rights leaders, and other great men and women. . But this act of reading and writing also opened their eyes to a whole new world, but gave them the determination and resilience to reach that new world despite insurmountable obstacles. I, on the other hand, have always had this love affair with the art of the spoken word, whether my mother read me stories before bed, I can still hear her sweet, musical voice now, or whether I stories just for fun. have fun so as you can see my attitudes towards reading and writing have always been favorable even when bad, old, wrinkled teachers and struggling, jealous students criticized my writing and reading technique just because they didn't know how to read or write a ... .... half of the paper ......ic given and furthermore there is no right or wrong answer in writing as in many other subjects that are learned at school and in everyday life. They are also a testament to the healing powers of reading and writing, for example if you have had a bad day you can take a book or your journal and when you have finished reading that book or write in your journal or journal your experiences during the day you'll feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Many people, including myself, believe that reading and writing should not be done just for the purpose of getting a good grade or because a teacher tells you to, but that it is like most journeys because it starts with a single step and should be practiced daily, appreciated and respected, not seen as a test or punishment but as a creative outlet for the mind.
