Women today are not held back by the mere idea of ​​being women, so they should do so because society's norms say so. Women tried to enter heavy men's jobs such as construction. Although these are generally seen as male-dominated jobs, the high pay has driven women out of the public sector and into these high-paying manual jobs. Although the cycle no longer continues, the fight for equality is never-ending, which women continually fight for. In recent years there has been an increase in women's unionization which has helped them make their voices heard among the general public. Increased unionization has led to a decrease in the wage gap for many local and major cities in the United States. Employees represented by a union have the voice needed to establish greater equality policies within the union
