Topic > Comparison of Mona Lisa - 1634

In both paintings both women have their hands in a position where they appear to be posing for the photo. But Mona Loca looks like she's doing it jokingly because she has the cigarette in her hand, while Mona Lisa's pose looks like she was told to pose this way for the photo, meaning she had no say in what the image was supposed to look like. Mona Lisa has a veil on her head which symbolizes that she had to be sober and modest and that she was unable to express herself if she wanted to. The demons and angel in the Mona Loca are a symbol of good and evil in the culture. The skull is a symbol of death and the screaming face signifies desperation. Mona Loca has money tucked into her stockings, symbolizing that she is an independent woman, who earns her own money regardless of the situation. The bullet holes in his face mean he's been through tough situations, but he's still fine. The empty bottles on the floor symbolize that he has been drinking, perhaps to forget the problems he has. The cigarette that Mona Loca is holding means that she is smoking because she is stressed. The window with the blue, the blue sky, a tree and green grass is a symbol of hope, hope that things can get better and she can get there. Abstrik's intention
