He also approved separate plans that played an important role in business between countries, such as FDIC, SEC, etc. He created many new government programs, such as providing aid and jobs to the unemployed, etc. These programs had provided many jobs to the people. . A small office had become a larger one with more staff. FDR appointed the Brownlow Commission to advise him on how to deal with the bureaucracy that had expanded efficiently and effectively. Then, the president created the Executive Office of the President and an advisory group to assist in running the government. The White House staff has expanded over time. “He pioneered the use of 'fireside chats' via radio to explain his actions to people” (page 21). He communicated with the public, the “Fireside Chats” had helped him expand his public role. Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society was a collection of domestic programs. He dealt with education, medical care issues, etc. Unlike the traditional presidency, he created a budget proposal for his programs and bargained with congress.
