Needless to say, what was soon to happen would be forever imprinted in the minds of all who witnessed it as “pure hell out of a bottle.” Luckily for me, in the neighborhood where we bought our new house, it turned out that drinking there was as common as seeing cars on the highway during rush hour. It was not easily visible due to the discreet nature with which it was done. However, I'm willing to bet a pretty good bet that at least ¼ of the people residing there were alcohol users. Even so, I don't think any of them were prepared for the fact that I was about to get there and raise the level of drinking in the neighborhood.
