I adopted a strategy that emphasized balance in my daily life. I made changes to my life at university, such as sleeping more and having at least an hour a day to relax, read or do what I like. By creating a healthy balance between school work and me time, I felt happier and more eager to do school work because I didn't feel like I was drowning in endless work. It was my belief that I possess an internal locus of control (ch. 3, p. 102), the ability to control my life, that allowed me to see that stress is inevitable in college, but even when I experience stress, How I overcome stress is up to me. Only I can help myself. Only I can decide how to balance my life so I don't have one
