Topic > A Personal Experience at Durga Temple - 930

Before I really get into my personal experience at Durga Temple, I would like to start my experience document by throwing light on my religion. I personally belong to a Muslim family and have practiced Islam all my life. Islam is one of the monotheistic religions, which means that people believe in only one God usually called Allah. All individuals, including myself, believe that everything in this world was created by Almighty Allah. He has the power and authority to decrease and increase things. Islam is based on its five pillars; Namaz (prayer), Roza (fasting), Hajj (pilgrimage), Zakat (giving away) and Jahad (fight for Islam). In contrast, Hinduism has many different deities and they all have a specific purpose. For example, Shiva is widely known as the destroyer while Vishnu presides over the maintenance of the living being. The reason why I decided to attend Hindu religious practice is because I heard many different stories about the conflict between Hindus and Muslims. Furthermore, I also wanted to see temples because I had never seen one, I have been to many churches, mosques and synagogues, but I never had the chance to visit a temple. Both Islam and Hinduism are the most popular religions in the world and have millions of followers. However, there is a difference between day and night. As I already said in the previous paragraph, I have always dreamed of visiting Hindu temple, so I decided to visit Hindu temple for my experience project. It is a way that gives me the opportunity to learn and discover interesting things about Hindu practices. Simply by visiting this temple I can discover many differences between my culture and the Hindu culture. I have this... in the center of the paper... which somehow represents Hindu culture and tradition. The architecture also told something about the historical stories of Hinduism. The specific position of the deities in the Durga temple provided the god and goddesses with a higher level of respect and honor. I tried my best to take as many photos as possible but unfortunately I couldn't. After seeing everything in the temple I can definitely say that all Hindus take care of all the things around them. They show and have equal respect for all gods and goddesses. In the end, I would just like to say that my visit to Durga temple was exceptional and I really enjoyed it. I learned many new things about Hindus that I already knew. I will definitely go back if I ever get the chance. Now I am more curious to find out some more interesting facts about Hinduism.
