Topic > The Importance of Trust in School - 992
The most important part of restoring trust is to restore it quickly. While regaining someone's trust will take time, making an effort to resolve the problem is the first step. If trust is broken and nothing is done to help repair the situation, it will only lead to further problems within the relationship. Once the problem is addressed, you can begin to rebuild trust. This requires time and effort to show the person the five areas of trust defined by Tschannen-Moran: benevolence, honesty, openness, reliability and competence. Working to showcase these five areas will greatly increase your chances of regaining that person's trust and moving into a confident, productive environment.
