Some things are best left untold and others need to be revealed. The time, 11pm. The setting, a doctor's waiting room, waiting, someone just got stabbed. A twenty-four year old male lay on what had only hours before looked like a deathbed. He was lying in the hospital bed, it was as desperate a situation as the new nurse on duty, Alicia, had ever faced. There on the bed was a man who had just been brought in for serious stab wounds to the chest. The heart monitor showed no heartbeat and the doctors could not find a pulse, but the man's eyes continued to flutter, half-open and half-closed. Furthermore, barely audible above the sounds of the flattened heart monitor, the screams of the doctors and the footsteps running desperately around him were the whispered words he was trying to convey to anyone he thought was there. Nurse Alyss heard these and thought about it for a while as she frantically ran around trying to bring this seemingly dead man back to life. The only problem was one they would never have thought about or encountered: How to bring something that's been dead for over 500 years back to life? In the end they had to take the body to the morgue. This pained the young nurse as she had heard him speak. Although what distressed her most was how could one speak without a heartbeat or pulse? How do you speak out of breath? She walked out into the hospital waiting room expecting to see some sort of family or friend for that handsome, nameless man. Instead, she was surprised when she looked around the room and saw the door to her right, a staff area, swinging back and forth on its hinge, with a man walking away quickly and with great determination, to exit. Alyss... in the center of the paper... "Good, good." Alyss murmured. Shrugging his shoulders. “I'll take her home,” the tall man declared, calming them with his soft voice. He accompanied her to the car, a few rows away, and opened the passenger door for her. "Where are you taking me?" Alyss asked, regaining her senses. "I told you, at home." He stated simply, looking at her curiously with his deep blue-silver eyes. “How did you get to me? It wasn't possible." She asked me again, "I had to do it." Was her only response. He stopped at her house and she asked him, "What did you mean?", Last night. How well are you!! And what should I call you? ?" He looked at her and smiled, "I think you may remember, my queen." Her pale face took on what would have been a blush if she could still manage that light dusting of pink.~~My Alyss, the one from back then. My only other. You came back to me after all this time??~~
