Candy, tastes good but is bad for your teeth. Medicine, it tastes horrible but it's good for the body. Both items show positive and negative characteristics. The clubs at Centennial Christian School, or CCS for short, also have their strengths and weaknesses. By using rhetorical strategies it is evident that there are flaws in these clubs but students and teachers are able to overcome them by using their strengths. It is the students who make up the clubs and not the clubs themselves due to the background that CCS brings with it. Centennial Christian School is a small international school located in Seoul, South Korea. The school is on top of a hill across a series of slopes. The school is also a single building with 6 flights of stairs but there are not enough classrooms. Each class has an average of 15 students, with the largest class being 21. Most students arrive at school by public transport and/or the limited transportation provided by the school. There are 4 clubs in the CCS; the sports club, the music club, the debate club and the student council with 3 clubs having their own sub-groups. The sports club has the volleyball team, the basketball team and the football team. The debate club has the debate team and the public speaking team. Student council has student government and the National Honor Society. The Sports Club is the most competitive club in CCS. This club brought many titles to the CCS and created legends with the KAIAC sports league. Despite its many accomplishments, CCS faced many challenges. Centennial Christian School does not have a gym, making it difficult to practice. Having lots of basic equipment like balls and weights makes it possible to practice basic training, but the real problem lies in the facilities. ...... middle of paper ...... man, there are a lot of differences. YISS has a gym and a field where you can play all sports, while CCS does not. YISS has many students willing to join the debate club while CCS uses many of the same students for several debate tournaments. YISS has more resources and equipment than CCS when it comes to the music club. However what YISS loses to CCS is the Student Council. YISS has many students, so it would be natural for them not to know what many students want or need. CCS is a smaller school and can therefore listen to all student needs. Centennial Christian School may be a small school and has many disadvantages in its clubs, but the students make up for it. They put in extra effort just to succeed, and the results eventually show. There are many things that could be addressed individually in each club, but for a small school, CCS works well.
