Founded in 1695, Prince George's County has a population of just under one million residents, according to the 2014 census. The 2014 census reports that Prince George's County is 66% black with a median income of approximately 79,000 per year, making the county one of the wealthiest black counties/communities in the United States of America. Although the majority is black, Prince Georges County is very diverse with a mix of other racial compositions: White, Native American, Asian, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino to include other unidentified races.
