The Brutal FactsAnyone involved in education these days knows how state standards are becoming more and more rigorous. Every year teachers are expected to create miracles with their students. A school like BL Garza Middle School is a school that faces a major problem regarding immigrant students from Mexico. Garza MS is located about 30 miles from the Mexican border and is becoming increasingly populated with students who are crossing the border due to the horrible problems within the Mexican border. A student who prefers to remain anonymous states that "life in Mexico is like living in a prison where there are only certain places you can visit at certain times (annoymous, 2013)". Given the challenge of enrolling more students in the district, teachers are being asked to take on the challenge of educating these students with very limited resources.
