I needed to make sure I had all the research material to support my claim on the topic I chose to write about. I had decided to write about hydraulic fracturing; as I thought it was harming the environment and our water resources. I read so many articles and trying to make sense of all the scientific analyzes was challenging, but I was able to put something together with the help of the graphic organizer. The hardest part for me, besides the research, was making sure I included all the cited work correctly and that the information was presented in the correct order. I struggled with organization in my first draft, but in my final persuasive essay I reread it several times, then took a break and reread it again with fresh eyes. I was then able to rearrange the information so it made more sense and I also made sure to include solid topic sentences in each of my paragraphs.
