MY EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE Write your confirmed preference profile first. Explain what this means in a business or academic setting. My compliant profile is ENFJ. This means that I am an extroverted, intuitive, sensitive and judgmental person. After taking the Jungian test, I learned that my MBTI preference profile indicates that I have a slight preference for extraversion over introversion (9%), slight preference for intuition over perception (19%), slight preference for feeling over thinking (22%) and a slight preference for judging over perceiving (22%). It means that they are among the benevolent “pedagogues” of humanity. I have extraordinary charisma and the power to manipulate others with my phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique selling ability. I believe in my dreams and see myself as a helper and facilitator, qualities that I find to be so true for myself. As an ENFJ, I am a global learner, and this is one of the reasons why I had to choose to study at UoPeople rather than a local university in Kenya. I see the big picture and my focus is expansive. Like my colleagues, I have entrepreneurial skills and my conclusions about people are drawn much more quickly. I know and appreciate other people without any compromise. In most cases, I even neglect myself and my needs for the needs of others. I have thinner psychological boundaries than most people and am always at risk of being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. It is indeed true that sometimes I take on more burdens than I can bear. As an ENFJ, I always find myself in occupations that require good interpersonal skills, in order to establish productive collaboration and maintain an effective work process. I consider myself...... middle of paper ......d MBTI, one of the strategies I will adopt in dealing with difficult situations and individuals who have different preferences is to not rely on my emotions or feelings while making decisions. If I find myself involved in a situation where my emotions are strong, I would prefer to calm down before making any decisions about the situation. When handling difficult situations, I prefer to remain rational to the core and tackle the problem by focusing on finding a lasting solution. When dealing with difficult people, I prefer to be empathetic in judging their actions and the implications of their actions. When I find that the person I am dealing with has a low level of understanding, I prefer to involve a third person, explaining things in simple and understandable terms or even remaining silent for some time before starting a conversation with him..
