In China, "English has been the dominant foreign language in the curricula of educational institutions and in foreign language learning in Chinese society for more than two decades" (Chang, 2006, p. 514). China's Ministry of Education has done adequate work on English education after English was globalized. Not only in China but also around the world, English courses are becoming popular. Statistics show that there are approximately 80 countries “that have officially recognized English as a primary and secondary language” (p.514). The overall number of people who consider English to be their first or second language has reached 22.1 billion, equal to a third of the world's population (p.514). The reason for this phenomenon is that in many countries people are educated globally and increasingly by English subjects. As a result, nowadays English education is spread internationally due to English globalization and numerous people can use it
