Do you still remember the first time you fell, who was the person who helped you get up? Do you still remember the first time you cried, who was it who wiped your tears? Do you still remember the first time you failed, who cheered you up? I will definitely say she's my mother and I think most people have the same answer with me. Why did I try to remember those experiences? They all seem like little things in our daily lives. Is it so important that whoever the person was helped us at that time? I agree that the person may not be that crucial since other people can do those things too. In fact, other people really do it, such as our friends, other family members, classmates and so on. However, they are different from our mother. Why? Have you ever noticed that you always say thank you to other people after they help you, except your mother? I finally realize this as I watch the P&G Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games commercial. As I watch mothers from different countries around the world keeping their children company, I wonder if I should immediately call my mother to thank her. The scenes in the ad give the feeling of Déjà vu. This ad is so touching and I don't think I'm the only person who wants to cry. Before talking about advertising, I want to share my experience. I first learned to skate when I was five years old. I couldn't remember how many times I fell hard onto unshakable ice. However, I still remember the temperature of my mother's hand when she helped me up. Many people might say that you will never learn to swim without suffocating. I'd better say you'd never learn to skate without falling. In the advertisement there are also children learning to skate and ski. The difference... in the center of the card... is your mother. Say thank you to your mother, the only person we have to appreciate. While most commercial advertisements try to sell things to people, this P&G advertisement is more likely to convey information to us. Use a different way to help people remember your brand. It shows some experiences that people might have and wants people to remember something important in their life. After all, mom is an extremely important person in our life. We cannot have experiences with our mothers. When you think about past experiences, you remember that your mother raised you. You feel grateful to have such a good mom. Then you might think that I never say thank you to my mother. Finally, the advertisement shows Thank You, Mom. That's exactly what you mean. I don't know about others, but for me I think I won't forget the P&G brand after seeing this commercial.
