There have been a few different English interpretations of the popular Anime One piece. But two of the most talked about are the 4kids and Funimation dubs. Which is better isn't really a matter of debate for me. I think Funimation has done and is doing a much better job. There are some differences between 4kids and Funimation Dub. I believe that Funimation Dub honors the Toei Japan Original due to the censorship in the episodes, the translated jokes used from Japanese to English, and the general ensemble of the show as a whole. Starting with 4Kids, even though I had to do a little digging, I noticed some differences that I never noticed as a kid. I noticed that 4Kids made some changes, most of the time the changes were unnecessary. In the full version of the show Funimation shows the original content of the show without the missing signage in the show and sticks to the "heart" of the Toei script, leaving very little to lose in both content and translation.
