In what sense is the world we live in a world similar to Feed? MT Anderson helps us discover that through feelings, actions, and organizational power, the world of Feed is very similar to the world we live in. Before I give any background information to my statement, I would like to intrinsically make the point that I am trying to make MT Anderson's characters and plot in the world of Feed resemble our world. Understandably, the point I'm trying to make can be argued with different opinions; but the exploration and defense of the point I am making will be made clear through various examples. To briefly provide some background information, the narrator Titus and his two "brother friends" Marty and Link are like the typical college student compared to our world. Feed refers to an attachment to the human body that provides advanced access to the Internet and social media possessed by a large percentage of the population in the world similar to Feed. With the background information on MT Anderson's Feed, the argument I'm making about the world we live in is similar to the world of Feed will make more sense. We say no to plagiarism. Get an original essayThe first example of how MT Anderson shows that the Feed-like world is similar to our world is the use of the feeling of "boredom". It becomes clear that Titus, Marty, and Link are easily bored just like any other child in our world today. For them, their brief form of entertainment was “playing with three uninstalled wires coming out of the wall. We were trying to free them from the shock." A typical child in our world would get bored easily and even move on to the next form of entertainment. Titus, Marty, and Link appear to do this a few times, and at one point Marty even invents a new game to stave off boredom called "The Fight of the Dying Warrior." You might be thinking, how does a feeling like boredom resemble our world? In simple terms, Titus, Marty, and Link display a feeling that almost every single person in our world has felt at least once. It may seem like an insignificant comparison, but it's important to know that people in the Feed-like world have feelings just like us. Even the feeling of loneliness that Titus feels resembles what most people in our world have probably felt at one time or another. We learn that Titus is lonely because he hasn't had a girlfriend in a while, so he has an urge to connect with someone. I personally have a friend who, like Titus, is lonely and wants to meet a girl. Luckily, though, Titus meets an attractive "unette" named Violet (and later Quendy), which I'm sure my friend from my world will do too in time. The feeling of loneliness is just another example of how certain feelings connect our world to the Feed-like world. Like us, the characters in the world of Feed exhibit feelings that people in our world must deal with on a daily basis. Another example of how the world of Feed resembles our world is when Titus, Marty, and Link take a group trip to the moon during spring break. There is an inclination to act young and travel to various places and Titus, Marty and Link do just that. I personally took a week-long trip to Disney World with some friends last year because we (like Titus, Marty, and Link) wanted to take a break from our boring boring lives. This action of taking a last minute trip to the moon resembles how even the young demographic in our world normally behaves. Every trip I've planned with my friends has been last minute. Some journeys, such as the journey of Titus, Marty and.
