Dr. Martin Luther King knew he was at high risk of being killed because of the things he said and the hatred he received from white people. He knew that many people considered his opinions wrong and biased and did not agree with him. Dr. King led marches, gave speeches, and even attended churches which ultimately led to his death. He was killed on a second-floor balcony of a motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
