After six academic years, I earned my bachelor's degree in dental surgery ( BDS) in 2016. Interest in dentures burst into my life since my second year of dental school, when we started our preclinical denture course. During my academic and internship years, I had the opportunity to improve my knowledge and skills by practicing both fixed and removable prosthetics under the supervision of numerous professors in the field. In the fifth year the course was mainly based on prosthetic cases in which I was the first student to meet the clinical requirements. I worked on 5 interesting cases that required heavy lifting and gave a presentation on one that impressed our course faculty. The case involved a patient with numerous missing and decayed teeth and the patient desperately needed to finish the treatment before his son's wedding. After several appointments, the treatment plan was successful and the patient's joyful smile will always resonate in my mind. From that moment on, the dream of becoming a prosthetist was and still is my pure determination. Prosthesis is one of the specialties that combines the beauty of art and science, guaranteeing the restoration of correct chewing, aesthetics, phonetics and confidence in individuals. I like to understand the essence of each prosthetic material and I also like to think accordingly to arrive at a diagnosis that solves the patient's main problem. Prosthetic dentistry can present a variety of difficult cases, and it is sometimes difficult to achieve a treatment plan that is suitable for both the patient and the doctor. During my internship, our college introduced an innovative and motivational event called: Annual Internship Research Meeting which evaluates and rewards the research conducted by all interns. My team got 2nd place and the presentation I gave got the highest score in that category and luckily I had the chance to work on prosthetic research with an excellent supervisor, this increased my interest in research and expanded the importance of the publication. I believe that as a leader and team worker myself, I have led many groups during my university years in both academic and community projects. I believe that every dentist has a responsibility to help their community, not only by treating them but also by raising awareness of oral hygiene. Therefore, I have participated in many community projects aimed at society, including children, the elderly and the handicapped. I plan to work hard during my residency, gaining more knowledge and building my future as a prosthetist. I feel quite confident working as a resident, my knowledge base is excellent and I have participated in many case discussions where I have learned and shared information.
