At Operation Impact, one of my favorite presentations was from Nurse Rush Copley. He explained the steps that a person involved in a car accident would go through. He passed around various medical equipment used in the emergency room and explained what they are used for. The nurse also showed us many pictures, some graphic, to help show the process she goes through as a trauma nurse. I enjoyed his presentation because it was extremely informative and professional. She knew what she was talking about and was very passionate about it. I liked how he had visual aids with him to show us. His presentation was engaging and I would love to learn more about emergency room nurses. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get an Original Essay Another one of my favorite presentations was The Oswego Police Officers. They showed a lot of statistics about teen driving. They also touched on the importance of road safety and how to deal with the law. They taught us how to properly pull over to a marked police car and what to do when the officer talks to you in the car. They explained how important it is to respect the highway code and make good decisions. I really liked how fun and lighthearted the police officers were. They knew what would make audiences pay attention and stay engaged. I liked how they took a serious topic and put some humor into it. The pictures were informative and gave us a lot of information. I thought it was a great presentation. I also enjoyed the presentation from the Kendall County Coroner. He explained how an autopsy is performed, what tools they use and what information they can glean from it. He talked about what a medical examiner does at an accident scene. He also showed us photos of different accidents and what can happen to you or others if you are not safe. The medical examiner was extremely informative and provided very sensitive insight into the consequences of unsafe driving. And by touching on this sensitive topic, she was able to turn it into a learning opportunity for all of us. She had a very engaging attitude and made it easy to listen to and pay attention to her. She was very educated on the topic and seemed very professional during her presentation. It was very interesting and gave me a new perspective on unsafe driving. Please note: this is just an example. How one wrong move could cost the lives of you and those around you. And to demonstrate how important it is to drive safely. I highly recommend all novice drivers to see this presentation and it could change the way they see the road and the way they make choices while driving.
