The director who directed this comedy created the best platform for the actors to showcase their skills. The direction was solid in the sense that the audience was informed of what was happening, one hundred percent of the time. Because of this, confusion was kept to a minimum and the audience was able to pick up on some ideas and themes revolving around the show. Certain aspects of the work have been specifically emphasized to illustrate specific key elements that drive the themes of the work. The fact that each character had obvious internal issues that prevented them from understanding each other was constantly in the public eye through verbal and physical conflicts that brought these issues to light. The staging of the show was also effective. Being set in the living room of a seemingly modern house, exotic and colorful household objects have been placed throughout making the set stunning and interesting to look at. With push theater, actors can sometimes get lost on one or two sides of the viewing space; however, this interpretation of God of Carnage explains this by enacting blocking that shows each character to each side of the audience, in different parts of the production. God of Carnage is a well-written work and the production I had the pleasure of seeing did not disappoint me in the slightest. All the appropriate elements were present, regardless of whether those elements were the responsibility of the actors or the director.
