Attitude is a person's perspective or point of view about something, someone, or the world in general. Attitude affects how we see other people, for better or worse. What causes someone to have the attitude they have can be traced back to many things, like how they are raised and even basic biology, especially when it comes to gender roles. Attitudes can both limit your opportunities in life and open you up to new ones. Attitude plays a very important role in how we live our lives and how we treat the people in it. Attitudes arise from many things and often primarily influence how you see others. First, attitude mostly comes from the people who raised you as a child and the environment in which you grew up. As children we often imitate the things our parents do, and our parents teach us their ideals and opinions. Attitude can also come from your surroundings. For example, growing up in a colorful, more natural-looking home might instill in a person a more creative and positive attitude towards life, while growing up in a drab, cookie-cutter home might have the opposite effect on a person . Second, attitudes can influence how you see others as people often find and become friends with people with whom they share similar attitudes. It doesn't matter what you share an attitude towards; it could be anything. I believe this is due to the fact that a person's attitudes are often reflected in his interests, and it is often easier for people with similar interests to interact with each other. In my life, most of the people I am friends with share very similar attitudes and interests with me. Third, your attitudes play an important role in the judgments you make about a person when you first meet them. This can be a bad thing at first glance… middle of paper… in the future. For example, if a person tries out for the track team and discovers that they are really good at it, they might decide to try a sport that uses similar skills such as soccer, thus finding new opportunities over old ones. Your attitudes are a considerable factor in what you get out of life. Attitude plays a very important role in life and often reflects your personality and interests. A person's attitudes can change over the course of a lifetime, and there are many things one can learn from the attitudes of others. People can also find out where attitudes come from and how they have changed throughout history. Attitudes play an important role in today's world and many important actions are decided based on a person's attitudes. Attitude is one of the most important aspects of life and whether your attitudes will limit your success in life or guarantee you is up to you.
