Most of the time it is someone's generation that plays a big role in which era they like the most. For a moment, if someone grew up in the 1950s, they would most likely prefer Hank Williams to Luke Bryan. This, however, is not true in all cases. Everyone is different, which is why not all members of a generation like the same music. Country music hasn't changed drastically over time. Country music has changed very little over time. “Old” country music is more relaxing and peaceful, while “new” country music is more up-tempo and makes you want to get up and start dancing.
