Ignoring the fact that she is one of the best soul singers alive, she finds herself sitting in her dressing room, ready to shoot herself. With only twenty minutes to spare, he quickly grabs a resistance band for his head. “Tie him tighter! It will work faster. Better." His arm protrudes from a bright blue vein. Grabbing the lighter, he lights the bottom of the spoon until the liquid seems hot. Looking at the clock, he knows there are only ten minutes left. He places the edge of the needle on the spoon and grabs every drop of liquid she sees. Before she knew it, her hand was moving towards the vein. The needle is screaming to pierce the skin. Her mind is screaming, telling her there is a way. better exit, but his body says otherwise. It's over. His body has taken control and his mind is now relaxed. Chills approach his body as a knock on the door shouts “LET'S GO! IT'S SHOW TIME !”Drug addiction is very common in most music artists today. Society emphasizes the need for better music to vibe to, so music artists turn to an easier way to deal with it. It has harmed many music artists in the over the years and today it has not improved. Most artists are faced with developing a serious addiction problem. Those who admit they have an addiction problem seek help and continue the rest of their music career. As for artists who don't choose the demise of rehab, they risk ruining their entire career and perhaps their life. Alcohol Addiction: Alcohol is the most commonly used addictive substance in the United States. One in 12 adults suffers from alcohol abuse. Cocaine use was one of the reasons why Whitney Houston drowned in her own bathtub. Addictions to alcohol, heroin and cocaine are just some of the things our modern musical artists deal with. As a society, we put a lot of pressure on musical artists because we want good music to be heard. Of course, not all musical artists are drug addicts, addicted to drugs, or have died from an overdose. Artists who suffer from drug addiction are usually the artists that society least expected.
