The career I have chosen to research is that of a pediatrician. I chose this because I like working with children and would like to help them improve. This career began in Europe. There was a gradual move to separate institutions for sick children, so that they were not exposed to adults. In the Western world, the first pediatric hospital opened in France in June 1802. The Anglo-Saxon world waited until 1852 to open the first pediatric hospital. There are approximately 30,890 people who practice this profession. The state with the highest level of employment in this profession is California. They have about 4,720. There are many tasks that come with being a pediatrician. The general duties are to diagnose, treat and help prevent injuries and illnesses of children. Some more specific tasks track growth and development. It records your child's height and weight and checks a number of things at each check-up. They also guide parents on how to help prevent disease by practicing good hygiene, vaccinations and nutrition. The pediatrician's hours may vary depending on the needs of the hospital or clinic where he works. They typically work 50-60 hours per week. Pediatricians are among the highest paid doctors. The average income of a pediatrician is approximately $177,080. Hourly pay could be around $85.14 depending on where and how much experience you have. In this field you must have some specific qualifications. You should have good communication skills. You need to be able to talk to both children and adults. This also includes listening to what they both have to say. You have to be able to speak at a child level and at an adult level. Many children are afraid of going to the doctor, that's why you should be patient and calm with them. Paediatrics... in the center of the paper... news and bone injuries. Pediatric cardiologists analyze and treat heart problems. Nephrologists treat and study kidney problems. Oncologists treat tumors, often associated with cancer. There are also pediatric psychologists who help patients with all the emotions that accompany the child's illness. Neonatal medicine treats illnesses related to newborns. Perinatal medicine treats concerns affecting unborn babies during the second half of the mother's pregnancy, during childbirth, and a few weeks after giving birth. After studying and doing all this research about being a pediatrician, I could see myself becoming one. Aside from the fact that they have to go to school for 11 years, they are paid very well and work with children every day. To me it seems like the best job in the world, helping a child feel better would be the best feeling.
