Olivia Gold, Report 12.05.14Introduction:In today's society, we are surrounded by Generation Z which is a group of people in a particular stage of life. Factors influencing Generation Z's participation in different sports vary across a wide range. These include: media, friends, popular viewing, advertising, modes of accessibility, geographic location, socioeconomic, historical, and political influences. Generation Z was born with laptops, cell phones, gaming devices, iPods and the Internet. They don't know life without technology. They don't care about privacy and are willing to share intimate details about themselves with complete strangers. This is seen daily through Facebook, Twitter and so on. As a result, members of Generation Z are very collaborative and creative. When they reach working age, they will have a dramatic influence on the workplace in terms of style and expectations. However, personally the social influences that influence me most of the time are my peers, accessibility, and socio-economic background. Furthermore, due to strong social influences, many issues have been addressed, such as the conception of stereotypes and misleading guidance on the idea that ideas are the body. Social Influences: First, the social influence of family is one of the key reasons why people choose to take up a particular sport. This is because traditionally within a family everyone practices or has practiced the same sport. Parents can expose their children to various sports by bringing them along to participate. These skills can then influence the child's preferences and activity choices. Parents also encourage differential motivation which may not be related to...... middle of paper ...... regarding the physical activity we do, including: media, friends, popular opinion, advertising, how accessible , geographical location, socioeconomic, historical and political influences. Furthermore, due to social influences numerous issues are raised, mainly the most important one is the creation of unwanted attention to stereotypes and false opinions about what your body should look like and how you should behave for that sport, for example you have to be tall , you have huge muscles and have to train since you were 8 years old to become a fast swimmer. We live in a world where there are continually social influences in everything we undertake, both positive and negative, but these should not at any time dictate your participation in any type of physical activity, as it is too much to simply stop something that suits you Heart forward, it's too important to give up.
