Since I've already told Emily all about that mythical creature, there's no way to destroy her dreams and happiness. So we started making a plan. I took care of collecting the gifts and wrapping them, while they took care of the bill. I definitely didn't care. About five days later, my mother and I went shopping for Christmas presents. Luckily, choosing the gifts was pretty easy. Emily was a typical girl: she loved Barbie dolls, dress-up toys, and just about anything pink and sparkly. Also, I took the wrapping paper that I described to her as the one Santa Claus uses so that she wouldn't suspect anything. Then we got home and I started working on my masterpiece. As I cut the wrapping paper, I hear footsteps coming from the stairs. I quickly threw everything into my closet and closed it tightly. Good thing I did because it was Emily. She came down to announce that dinner was ready. As he spoke, my heart was beating so fast I thought he could feel the palpations. Then I promised never to do it again. It's too much
