My Student-Centered Teaching PhilosophyWhat makes a good teacher? There are many factors that determined the answers to this question. The most dominant factor is the teaching philosophy. It plays a significant role in the teacher's career because it determines what the teacher will teach and how he or she will teach. Personally, my teaching philosophy will be student-centered with the combination of three related theories, with an emphasis on the individual needs of each student and teaching multiculturalism and diversity. Teaching should be student-centered. The purpose of education is to pass on knowledge to the next generation. Therefore, everything we teach should be closely related to the student's interests. The study shows that students learn and acquire more knowledge when they have a desire and interest in learning and are highly motivated. My personal education experiences are the most influential factor, which makes my teaching philosophy student-centered. I received my elementary and middle school education in China. In China, education was totally teacher-centered. The rules are very strict in the education system. Everyone took the same classes all the way through college, no matter what level they were at. Teachers feed students comprehensively. It turns out that students have no desire and ability to create. Everything in school has a format to follow. If the student does not follow the rule correctly, he will be in trouble. Everyone is equal and the academic score will be the only determinant for the students. With this type of education, I felt like I had no desire to learn and wasn't gaining as much knowledge as I should have, except... halfway through the paper... the classroom is necessary. Teaching should also place emphasis on multiculturalism and diversity. The world today is becoming smaller and smaller. Therefore, to be successful in the future, it is absolutely necessary to understand other cultures and tolerate differences. Students should be exposed to these areas as early as possible. Therefore, it is very important to have bilingual and even trilingual education in school. Additionally, students should be encouraged to learn and experience other cultures from a young age. Students are expected to become men of the world. These are my thoughts on education. It is very liberal and student-centered. As a further teacher, I would like to follow these teaching ideas and have my own school with these philosophies. Teaching is a noble profession and I want to make the best of it.
