Over the past few years, mass murders have increased in the United States, causing immense uproar from many American citizens demanding a solution. Due to the two sides conflicting over the solution, gun control; many cannot reach an agreement. While some argue that gun control is the only way to help stop the mass killings that are on the rise, others argue that it is against the Constitution and against one's rights not to be able to bear arms. Gun control, while presented as the only solution to senseless killings, is not the answer to today's violence; in fact many believe that stricter gun control allows more mass shootings to occur (statistics show that mass shootings are more frequent with strict gun control). The problem is not gun ownership, but the growing trend of violence in the United States (Stone).
