Today I will tell you about a great man in American history. He was a successful man and excelled in many areas. He was an actor, an athlete, a speaker and the 40th president of the United States. His name was Ronald Wilson Reagan. Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois. His parents were Jack and NelleReagan and an older brother named Neil. He and his family then moved to Dixon, Illinois. He attended Dixon High School. He played basketball, football, track and field, performed in plays and was also a lifeguard, saving 77 lives. Then he went to Eureka College and became interested in theater. After college, he served in the military for 8 years. Due to poor eyesight, unable to fight in World War II, he instead made films about troop training and morale.
