Problem OverviewSocialism is the social and economic theory that promotes public control and ownership of property and natural resources. This socialist vision states that the individual does not live and work in segregation and seeks mutual collaboration (Ball & Dagger). Furthermore, the government has the power and right to exercise specific social and economic theories in society. On the other hand, government with a set of moral principles also has a moral obligation to every citizen to provide good governance. Consequently, a guiding philosophy of government is subject to scrutiny in socialist government (www.ethics.org, 2009). Government According to Merriam Webster, government is an agency, mechanism, or institution through which the elected body exercises authority and performs functions, and the distribution of power usually identifies its form. Furthermore, it is a service or division of the highest authority of a nation or state, representing the whole. Government functions are carried out through the intricate political institutions, traditions and laws, such as the legislative, executive and judicial branches. In fact, the forms of government determine the functioning of the so-called mechanism and the distribution of power. All forms of government are classified based on the distribution of power. Government power can be simply divided into three forms: absolute, moderate, and zero. These fundamental aspects of the distribution of power can be found in many forms of government, from absolute monarchy to republic and anarchy. Furthermore, there are other lists of basic forms of government such as authoritarian, communism, democracy, dictatorship, federal, oligarchy, socialism, theocr...... middle of paper ......duction (Hastings & Selbie, 2003) Furthermore, the extreme position that can be labeled as rationalism and irrationalism is the methodological issue linked to both the ethical and the epistemological level. However, there is a wide range of schools of reflection drawn from the philosophical nuances of individualists and communitarians (Moseley, 2005). Metaethical Investigation This is the belief on the basis of absolutism that states that absolutes exist, including ethical absolutes. C.S. Lewis, a philosopher, observed and concluded that the possibility of the natural order of things, including “right and wrong,” is called “Natural Law.” Furthermore, it can be seen that there are some things that are true in creation. There is a belief that people have the right to life, liberty and property, which is simple as it is (Underwood, 2008).
