At the beginning of my life I was a handful for my mother who was single. She was a devout Russian Orthodox Christian who later, in my teenage years, wanted me to become a priest. At a young age I lost my father who was a major alcoholic. He died from injuries sustained during a collision. During the early stages of my life, I had learned that I had 3 other siblings but they had died at birth. As time passed, I developed a deadly disease known as “smallpox,” which left me with a scar on my face and a deformed left arm. My early life was always a struggle with life trying to stay healthy. My mother, who loved me dearly, took on extra work to support my health. My early life was difficult, children had bullied me at school because of the scar I had gotten from smallpox. After a while the children began to be afraid of me. Any guy who decided to cheat on me would pay dearly. A couple of years later, my mother had pushed me to school. In 1888 my mother was able to enroll me in the Tiflis Theological Seminary. My grades were excellent during the first semester. I loved school until, in the second half, I decided to drop out because of the strict rules they had. It was 1894 when I came across the writings of a secret organized group. I had had the opportunity to read the writings of both Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. I was so fascinated by their writings that I decided to join the group organized at that time. In 1899, during school, I left school due to tuition problems and had to withdraw. From that point on I decided it was best to get more involved in my secret organized group. When I got a job as an accountant, that's where I met an organized group called the Social Democrats. This is where I came into contact with the big... general secretary of the Communist Party central committee newspaper. After the moment he named me this position, I realized that I had more power. Now I could give work to people who were loyal to me. Shortly thereafter, leader Vladimir Lenin suffered a stroke and became progressively ill. In January 1924 Lenin died. There were 5 of us competing for the leadership of Russia. While we all struggled for power, I emerged at the top and have now taken control of Russia. Immediately after becoming the new leader of Russia, I began to make our country more advanced. Immediately our production and our economy boomed. Within 5 years we started producing steel, machine tools and tractors. We started building factories, dams and other large projects. I led this country for about 25 years until my death on March 5, 1953. Works Cited "Biography of Joseph Stalin." Bio. AE Networks and Web. October 25 2013.
