Escape from Reason and 10 Books that Ruined the World Introduction Although God's ultimate truth never changes, people's rules and thinking change. For this reason, when people change their standards and laws away from God's truth, they encounter difficulties. To overcome difficulties, people have tried to find a better way starting from their way of thinking. Even though people know that exchanging truth for lies only brings destruction, they reject the truth. Furthermore, they say that the truth is what brings destruction to the world. Due to their wrong focus in solving the problem, they get into deeper problems. Schaeffer's book, “Escape from Reason” and Wiker's other book, “10 Books That Screwed up the World and 5 Others That Didn't Help” listed the works of some people who had made big changes, and two authors they also listed the problems of major works. Escape from Reason Escape from Reason began with a diagram showing grace and nature in the world. These two categories separated the upper part from the lower part. Schaeffer developed the point that people get into a deeper problem as they try to eliminate the upper part that represents God. Every time creatures try to be independent from the Creator, even more they put themselves in a deeper pit. Of all Schaeffer's examples, one boy's story stands out most because it was simply awful. Since the boy thought that whatever he liked was the best thing to do, he took some prostitutes and bit them. Because some people have tried to eliminate God from their lives, they have lost the truth. Without truth there is no moral law, but chaos. Since all human beings were created in the image of God, they are special, but without Him there is nothing special about human beings. Today Christians cannot allow the separation to become ever deeper. Christians continually communicate with the world. For this reason they need to know what they believe so they can defend it and explain it to others. Many non-believers know numerous things about Christianity to attack. Because Christians neglected their theologies, the world called them fools who do not know science. Like it or not, changes happen every day. To deal with change in the right way, Christians need to study the truth. Having a strong foundation in truth, Christians also need to know how the world has changed. Since all lies have consequences listed in two books, Christians can defend and show the truth to the world.
