The Egyptians imported and exported goods from many neighboring countries. They exported goods such as stone and ceramic vessels, linen, papyrus, gold vessels, oxhides, ropes, lentils and dried fish. Most imported goods were raw materials and produced as high-society luxury items. Horses, small livestock, cedar wood, silver, copper and precious minerals were imported from Syria and Palestine.
