Machinery is used in everyday life and has benefited us in many ways. Communications improved thanks to electricity. The first means of communication in public use were the telegraph and the telephone. With the development of technology, radio waves were discovered. Messages could be sent over long distances in virtually no time. This is an example of how the industrial revolution that led to the use of machines has brought benefits to people's lives in the past and even today. The instant messaging and email used by many are an example of how machines have improved our communication today. The machines have also helped in the medical field. Medicine before 1750 and in 1750 was not well developed. It was impossible to save a patient once infection had occurred. Many diseases could not be stopped or controlled due to limited technology. By 1850, however, vaccinations were discovered and administered. X-ray machines were also invented which provided doctors with a quicker way to diagnose medical problems.
